Two weeks ago, members of the DKT NAXCO team travelled to Rotterdam for Breakbulk Europe 2026.
As a leading third party agent in North Europe, we were present throughout the entire event at the AAL stand which quickly became our homebase for the week. It was the place where we started the day, welcomed contacts, caught up with familiar faces and met new people from across the breakbulk, project cargo and shipping industry.
We also had the chance to reconnect with other principals and customers, like the Empros & Breadbox team and visit our contacts at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges stand. It was good to exchange views on current projects, market developments and the challenges that continue to shape the industry currently (like Hormuz, Bunkers, CBAM, etc…). At the same time, not every conversation needed to be strictly commercial. Sometimes a quick coffee, a drink or simply taking the time to catch up is just as valuable.
Breakbulk Europe once again showed how important personal contact remains in our industry. Shipping and logistics are built on trust, communication and long-term relationships, and events like this give us the opportunity to strengthen those connections in a way that calls and emails simply cannot replace.
We would like to thank AAL Shipping for the warm hospitality throughout the event. A sincere thank you as well to everyone who took the time to meet with us, stop by for a chat or simply say hello. It was a busy few days in Rotterdam, but we returned to Antwerp with fresh ideas, stronger connections and several conversations that we look forward to continuing.
